Some
200 cars are expected at the "Sixth Annual SunFest Car Show"
June 7 in Johnstone Park. Eighteen categories of cars will be
competing for three prizes per category. The public is invited
to view the cars free of charge.
"It
is expected that this will continue to be one of the best car
shows held in this part of the country," according to Lanny
Seals, car show chairman. He goes on to explain why: "First
of all, Johnstone Park is one of the best sites in northeastern
Oklahoma for a car show with the beautiful shade trees and the
natural drive. The fantastic support of local merchants allows
us to give away some excellent prizes, including an 18 ft. steel
deck car trailer."
Registration
will begin at 8 a.m. and prizes awarded at 4 p.m. Entrants can
pay $15 the day of the show to enter and concessions will be available
for everyone for lunch.
